BJ’s Wholesale club has redesigned its app to boost the shopping experience via new features, improved usability as well as a gamification aspect.
The 2-year-old app, which has more than 2 million downloads, had had more than 200 million digital coupons clipped, according to a press release.
«Our members love the BJ’s app, and we’re excited to make it even more convenient to get unbeatable value how and when members want,» said Rafeh Masood, senior vice president and chief digital officer at BJ’s Wholesale Club, in the release. «We’re making it easier for members to see the value of their BJ’s membership and bringing more excitement to the wholesale club shopping experience.»
In the brand-new «My BJ’s» area on the app users can see the value of their membership in one easy stop and it provides yearly savings insight, local gas price at the clubs, and previous order information. The perks/awards reveals how much more the shopper needs to spend to reach their next award.
The app also now boasts a Challenge feature that offers new experiences and a chance to earn incentives. Challenges will be introduced periodically and can range from visiting a sample station in club to trying a new service BJ’s is offering, according to the release.
The redesign includes the addition of shop-able recipes through BJ’s same-day delivery, and makes in-club services, such as checking in to pick up an online order, easier.
